Outside Sales Representative Duties:
- Provide leadership and management for outside sales team, ensuring company principals are reflected in the new sales initiatives
- Develop and implement company-wide training programs for new staff as well as existing staff
- Ensure all departments follow company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Recruit and generate new business opportunities by maintaining existing client relationships and prospecting new ones
- Maintain knowledge of competitors, companies, and industry trends
- Prepare proposals, price quotes, and bids as required
- Coordinate activities of outside sales team and company personnel
- Develop and implement successful sales strategies
- Prepare financial statements
- Provide assistance to company principals in meetings with clients
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Drive new sales by cultivating and managing customer relationships, prospecting for new business, and identifying customer needs
- Meet sales quotas by cold calling, personal visits, and presentations, and maintain accurate records, including sales forecasts, reports, and expense reports
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
