What Is an HR Business Partner (HRBP)?

A human resources business partner (HRBP) is human resources professional whose primary role is to support the management of human resources functions within the company.

HRBP is responsible for managing activities related to payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. HRBPs should also maintain legal compliance knowledge.

HRBPs should have knowledge of company policies, procedures, and regulations related to recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee training.

HRBP helps the senior leaders to develop and perform the human resource strategy that supports their growth, performance, and future goals.

They help organizations to align their human capital with their business strategy. In doing so, HRBPs help to ensure that an organization's workforce is able to contribute to the achievement of its business goals.

HRBPs can help to improve communication and collaboration between different departments within an organization, which can lead to more efficient and effective operations.

What is the difference between HR manager and HR business partner? 

HR managers oversee the HR department, HR business partners work with department managers on developing a plan to hire the right people with the skills needed specifically for a job opening in that area.
