What is Orientation?

Orientation is the process of introducing new employees to the company and assimilating them with its policies, benefits and culture. It's the first step in employee's continuous socialization process.

Why are orientation necessary?

Because they provide employees with the information they need to be successful in their new role. By attending an orientation, new employees will learn about the company's history, culture, values, and expectations. They will also be able to meet their co-workers and get a feel for the work environment.

Orientation Benefits:

1. To gain employee commitment.

2. To reduce new hires' anxiety.

3. To help them understand the company's expectations.

4. To convey what they can expect from the job and the company.
