What is workforce planning?

Workforce planning is the process of identifying who your company will need to support its strategic direction, and then forecasting the future demand for those roles. The organization's needs are analyzed in terms of workforce size, type, experience, and knowledge requirements to achieve set objectives and goals.

This is done through strategic planning.
