Account Representative Job Description

An account representative is a sales person who has a level of responsibility to consummate arrangements with a customer.

They are responsible for understanding each customer's needs, proposing a course of action to meet those needs, and negotiating terms and contracts.

They will follow up with customers to help them complete transactions and may be responsible for managing their accounts.

Account representatives can be employed in a wide variety of settings, including companies, banks, brokerage firms, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.

The essential elements of this position require considerable stamina, mental agility, and the ability to handle stressful situations.

Job Brief:

We're looking for an experienced and ambitious account representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our clients, as well as identifying new business opportunities. Account Representative Duties

-Provide a consistently high level of service to clients by expediting and simplifying the insurance purchasing process
-Establish and maintain client relationships
-Assist customers in identifying and resolving insurance coverage concerns
-Maintain a positive image of the company by providing a high level of service to customers
-Introduce new insurance policies
-Provide expert consultation on insurance matters
-Socialize with coworkers and clients
-Create and implement sales strategies
-Integrate new sales processes into the company’s daily operations

-Identify, develop, and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with customers
-Develop effective account plans for target accounts
-Monitor account performance against goals, and negotiate contractual changes as needed
-Meet with customers and prospects to develop a clear understanding of the business and individual objectives, and to identify sales opportunities
-Research customers' businesses, competitors, and markets to understand their needs, and position solutions accordingly
-Meet daily and weekly account sales goals
-Assist Account Management team in achieving overall sales objectives
-Conduct other duties as assigned

Requirment And Skills

1-3 years of experience with business management, preferably in a startup or tech company.
