Accounting Assistant Duties:

  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial reports
  • Maintain general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, and payable records
  • Establish and maintain accurate records
  • Record transactions from invoices, purchase orders, deposits, and receipts
  • Follow up on discrepancies and resolve them
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable files
  • Assist with annual audit

Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Track daily income and expenses, and keep daily, weekly, and monthly reports in the required format
  • Make deposits, make withdrawals, reconcile transactions, open new accounts, and record sales

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of higher education and experience in accounting or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or other financial-related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
