Arbitrator Job Description

An arbitrator is a person or group that resolves disputes between two or more parties by arbitrating the dispute.

His job is to determine the outcome of the dispute.

Arbitrators make decisions that are legally binding on most parties.

The arbitrator's decision may be based on evidence or testimony submitted by the parties.

He must have expertise in the subject matter of the dispute, which they obtain through training and education.

Arbitrators are able to make decisions because arbitration is a voluntary process; parties agree to the use of an arbitration process to resolve disputes.
