Area Sales Manager Duties:

  • Develops sales plans and objectives for new and existing accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Provides regular account management information, including sales forecasts, account results, and recommendations.
  • Coaches sales team for personal and professional growth, as well as continuing education.
  • Provides performance feedback to regional sales team and managers.
  • Delivers presentations to customers on a periodic basis, supporting a strategic marketing plan.
  • Participates in special projects and programs.

Area Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans to achieve profit and market share goals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
  • Document customer activity, and ensure accurate client billing, client retention, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain open lines of communication with seniors and middle managers on a timely basis
  • Implement policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance to internal and external regulations
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new hires
  • Maintain accurate inventory, labor, and materials reports
  • Oversee daily administrative functions, including managing payroll and accounts payable
  • Maintains a positive work environment

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
  • 6+ years’ proven sales experience in a management role
