Job Brief:

We’re looking for Art Therapist to provide support to clients through the use of art. As an Art Therapist, you will be responsible for creating and facilitating art activities that promote healing and self-expression. You will also provide support and guidance to clients as they navigate their emotions and experiences.

Art Therapist Duties:

  • Develop and facilitate group and individual art therapy sessions for children, adolescents, and adults
  • Evaluate and assess participants to establish appropriate levels of engagement
  • Provide art materials
  • Assist group participants in creating their own works of art
  • Assist with record keeping
  • Generate reports and graphs

Art Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social skill groups, art therapy classes, and individual sessions for children and teens
  • Assist children in accessing community resources, identifying needs, and understanding available options
  • Monitor and document program outcomes
  • Assist in planning and implementing special events, including fundraisers, social gatherings, and parties
  • Conduct outreach, recruitment, and retention activities, including fundraisers and social events
  • Conduct research and other professional development activities, including workshops, webinars, conferences, and seminars
  • Assist in developing and maintaining program policies, procedures, and evaluation measures
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Develop and maintain program budgets
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art therapy, human services, or related field
  • 3+ years’ relevant work experience
  • Experience working with children/adolescents
  • Experience providing art therapy services
  • Fully licensed or eligible
  • Knowledge of art materials and techniques
