Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Avionics Technician to work on a variety of aircraft, from small single-engine planes to large commercial jets. You’ll be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and repairing aircraft electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and display systems.

Avionics Technician Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance on avionics such as aircraft navigation systems, radar, in-flight entertainment systems (IFE), radio, etc.
  • Perform diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures on aircraft systems
  • Provide technical assistance to pilots
  • Communicate with other maintenance personnel regarding action plans
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Avionics Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform aircraft preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs
  • Develop, maintain, and repair aircraft avionics and navigation systems
  • Communicate with mechanics and avionics technicians to troubleshoot non-avionics and engine-related issues
  • Support flight line operations such as ground handling, ramp operations, and fueling
  • Assist and oversee aircraft pre-delivery inspections
  • Perform aircraft taxi inspections
  • Communicate with pilots and mechanics to get necessary approvals for scheduled maintenance

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in avionics technology, maintenance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of related aerospace experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft avionics systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft avionics systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
