We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Bakery Manager to lead our team of talented bakers. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, from production and product development to sales and marketing. Bakery Manager Duties:
- Manage all bakery operations, including but not limited to:
- Establish production, quality control, and customer service goals
- Enforce and maintain standards of sanitation and cleanliness
- Maintain and develop relationships with vendors, service providers, and clients
- Develop and implement new procedures as needed
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and laws
- Oversee and assist with staff evaluations
- Develop and implement policies to improve work processes
Bakery Manager Responsibilities:
- Maintain safe working practices in the bakery, kitchen, and warehouse
- Train employees in safe working practices according to policies and procedures
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of work area, including food handling and storage, equipment, floors, and walls
- Supervise inventory, product inventories, and stock levels in the bakery and kitchen/warehouse
- Monitor and maintain safety standards and employee attendance requirements
- Maintain adherence to standards, policies, and procedures regarding health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance
- Research, follow, and implement all local, state, and federal regulations regarding health, safety, environmental and quality compliance
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all departmental and company policies and procedures
- Maintain and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct performance reviews
- Resolve employee problems and issue disciplinary warnings
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years of experience in management or production
- Strong knowledge of bakery production processes
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to bakery operations
- Proficient in oral and written communication
- Excellent planning, delegation, and follow-up
