Bar Manager Job Description

A bartender is a bartender.

But at a bar, a bartender is the CEO of that bar.

Talk to any bar manager, and you’ll get an earful of complaints—from bartenders, from customers, from bartenders’ friends, from customers’ friends, from bartenders’ friends’ friends, and so on.

Bar managers have been given many names—“cocktailian” and “mixologist,” “bartender” and “barman”—for good reason.
