Biochemist Duties:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other scientists and physicians
  • Perform laboratory testing and reporting analysis
  • Assist physicians and surgeons in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures
  • Oversee and approve materials to be used in research
  • Perform other duties as required

Biochemist Responsibilities:

  • Four-year degree in biochemistry
  • Experience in benchwork, research, or pharmaceutical development
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work and meet strict deadlines

Requirements And Skills:

  • Observe, measure, and analyze chemical reactions and properties, and use problem solving skills in order to propose, design, and perform experiments

  • Work with personnel to develop and review quality control procedures
  • Organize, prepare, and maintain laboratory and office equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Continually update educational credentials and skills
  • Perform related duties as assigned
