Job Brief

We’re looking for a Biologist to help us with our research. We need someone who is knowledgeable in the field and can help us to understand the data we’re collecting. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and be able to communicate their findings to the rest of the team.

Biologist Descripition Duties

-Develop and conduct research in the areas of microbiology, zoology, plant biology, or biomedical engineering
-Feed, care for, and produce offspring for laboratory animals
-Analyze animal health, behavior, and reproductive cycles
-Perform quality testing on animal byproducts, infected or diseased animals, and therapeutic drugs
-Assist in breeding and animal husbandry
-Supervise and assist personnel in laboratories
-Develop or improve testing procedures
-Support surgeons and veterinary technicians during surgical procedures
-Perform routine laboratory tests
-Identify, test, and treat animal diseases and infections
-Develop new or improved vaccines, drugs, diagnostic procedures, and nutritional regimens
-Coordinate research efforts among departments and scientists
-Plan, implement, and evaluate research projects
-Train and educate other scientists
-Present scientific findings

-Adapt company products to client specifications and requirements
-Develop and submit proposals for new contracts and projects
-Write proposals for new projects
-Increase customer satisfaction by developing and delivering high quality, cost-effective solutions to customer’s challenges
-Train other employees on new procedures and methods
-Serve as a key resource for other company personnel
-Identify opportunities to improve company procedures
-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirment And Skills

-Bachelor’s degree or higher in biological sciences, biological engineering, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience
-Experience in environmental sampling and analytical techniques, including air and water quality, monitoring, and field programs
-Ability to work in an ecologically sensitive environment
-Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
-Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
-Excellent time management and organizational skills
-Ability to lead and collaborate with other project managers to define project scopes
