Busboy Job Description

A busboy, also known as a “busboy / waiter”, is a position in a restaurant kitchen or catering facility who serves food and drinks to customers.

Job Breif

We’re looking for Busboy to work in the restaurant. He will be responsible for cleaning up the dining room and kitchen, as well as taking out the trash.

Busboy Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of restaurant dining rooms and kitchens by emptying trash, sanitizing tables, and vacuuming floors, and by maintaining restaurant equipment and facilities
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by greeting and serving guests
  • Refill alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as needed
  • Conduct opening and closing procedures for the restaurant
  • Assist customers with menu selections and provide prompt service

Busboy Responsibilities

  • Keep the station clean and sanitized by cleaning bathrooms, wiping tables, and sorting trash
  • Wash dishes
  • Clean and sanitize the cooking area
  • Maintain station supplies
  • Stock and clean the buffet area
  • Dispose of leftover food in a timely manner
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

  • Previous restaurant experience
  • Must work with the general manager to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours, including weekend
