We're looking for Camp Counselor to work at our summer camp. You must be at least 18 years old and have experience working with children.
Camp Counselor Duties:
- Help create and maintain a safe, educational environment by supervising campers
- Maintain proper supervision of children at all times
- Stock supplies, stock and restocking children’s cabins, maintain cleanliness and hygiene of cabins, and act as a mentor and role model
- Act as an ambassador of the camp
- Work as a representative of Camp Menlo at events, festivals, and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Camp Counselor Responsibilities:
- Work with campers to provide a safe, fun, and healthy environment; maintain camper records; observe and evaluate campers’ behavior and report concerns to camp director
- Support, motivate, and train other staff
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control and safety procedures
- Administer a camp program; supervise campers during activities
- Assist in planning and implementing activities according to safety procedures and program goals
- Maintain a clean, well-maintained, and organized camp environment
- Keep accurate records including camper medical forms, camp reports, and accounting records
- Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep
