Chief Human Resources Officer Duties:

  • Maintain regular contact with employees to foster excellent working relationships
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, training needs assessments, and development programs
  • Develop employee recruitment, development, and retention policies and procedures
  • Manage recruitment and selection, benefits administration, and compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Provide direction and leadership to human resources team to achieve goals

Chief Human Resources Officer Responsibilities:

  • Manage human resources including recruitment, legal, payroll, and benefits, and provide guidance to managers and employees
  • Oversee compensation and benefits, including employee benefit packages, performance reviews and appraisals, and overtime policies
  • Provide leadership for human resources information systems, including recruitment and retention, training, and talent management
  • Oversee human resource policies, insurance, and health and safety programs, including safety inspections and environmental compliance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain human resource strategies and policies, and maintain company records according to legal requirements

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years’ proven experience in a human resources role in an operations-based organization
  • Strong experience leading/managing/directing HR teams
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to employment
