A child care teacher has the responsibility of providing for the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of young children.

Children are cared for and educated in a licensed child care center, family child care home, or under the supervision of an adult in a preschool program or Head Start center.

Adult care providers lead activities for the children, monitor their progress, and help them to understand and integrate into society.

Child care teachers often work full-time, but many take on a part time position as well.

Working hours depend on the needs of the children and the hours of operation of the child care center.

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to work in our daycare center. The Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a daily program for the children in the center. The Teacher will also be responsible for supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times.

Child Care Teacher Duties:

  • Assist with curriculum planning, monitoring, and assessment
  • Create lesson plans, assign homework, and maintain attendance records
  • Meet with parents to discuss their child’s educational development
  • Provide students with homework assignments and progress reports
  • Provide students with extracurricular enrichment activities

Child Care Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive growth and development for all children
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious snacks in accordance with the government food guide
  • Maintain a sanitary classroom environment
  • Observe and record children’s patterns, needs, and interests
  • Engage children in activities, games, and discussions
  • Greedyly communicate positive feedback to children at every opportunity
  • Maintain accurate records of child attendance, behavior, and development
  • Maintain accurate records on the classroom budget
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and maintain classroom equipment
  • Provide assistance to the Director and Assistant Director

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years’ childcare experience
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Ability to provide a positive, safe, and stimulating environment
  • Ability to demonstrate positive relationships with children, families, staff, and outside agencies
  • Knowledge of child development and appropriate
