A clinical specialist is a clinician or clinician who provides specialty clinical services.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Clinical Specialist who can help us with our research. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinical setting and be able to provide us with insights into the latest treatments and procedures.

Clinical Specialist Duties:

  • Provide direct patient care, including the administration of nursing care
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate LPNs and CNAs
  • Promote safety in the work environment
  • Ensure that patient satisfaction is maximized
  • Utilize clinical expertise to develop and maintain a comprehensive patient care plan
  • Utilize clinical expertise to perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose, and formulate treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing patient care, collaborate with other team members, and apply decision-making skills in managing patient care
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and provide care when appropriate
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with culturally diverse patient populations and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health care team

Clinical Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients and family members, including general and nursing care, medication administration, patient education, and other duties
  • Operate diagnostic and therapeutic equipment
  • Assist with periodic home visits, clinical documentation, and follow-up care
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, dressing, and feeding
  • Lift patients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
  • 2+ years experience in clinical management
  • Knowledge of order entry and management
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Good working knowledge of hospital and lab equipment and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as a team
  • Excellent computer skills
