Commis Chef Duties:

  • Coordinate with managers, team leaders, and kitchen staff to plan, organize, and set up daily meals for restaurants
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost reduction and savings goals
  • Maintain timely and accurate records for all kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws

Commis Chef Responsibilities:

  • Assist with menu planning, including menu costing, development, and execution

  • Prepare all food items according to recipes and specifications

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with guests and coworkers

Requirements And Skills:

  • 3+ years in a 3-4 star, high volume restaurant setting
  • Previous kitchen experience in high volume, fast paced environment
  • Highly motivated, high energy, enthusiastic team player
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
