Job Brief:

We're looking for a Communications Manager to join our team and help us develop and execute our communications strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our communications channels, creating and curating content, and working with our team to ensure that our communications are effective and on-brand. Communications Manager Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen an organization’s internal communications
  • Manage the oversight of a website, social media, and marketing campaigns
  • Develop and maintain content, encourage content posts on social media, and help promote the organization’s social media presence
  • Promote organizational brand awareness
  • Create and manage content, including videos, presentations, photos, articles, and social media posts
  • Conduct market research, listening sessions, and focus groups
  • Promote the organization’s industry, services, or products
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans
  • Gain recognition for accomplishments and benchmarks against industry standards
  • Develop a communication and media plan for the organization

Communications Manager Responsibilities:

  • Create, evaluate, and update policies and manuals covering multiple departments
  • (e.g., operations, finance, HR, IT, legal, safety, etc.)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal communication procedures
  • Manage the resource review process to ensure employees receive ongoing training and career development
  • Collaborate with HR and other managers on hiring and employee development
  • Assist with employee discipline cases and terminations
  • Defining, selecting, and administering payroll systems, including vacation and sick leave
  • Maintain and update human resources information
  • Assist with employee benefit administration
  • Implement new employee orientations
  • Manage personnel records
  • Perform affirmative action planning
