A concrete foreman is a person who oversees and manages the work of concrete construction crews.

In turn, the foreman sets schedules for construction crews, and oversees crew members’ work.

A concrete foreman may oversee a crew of concrete workers constructing sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.

He or she supervises the placement of concrete for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.

The concrete foreman supervises workers placing concrete.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Concrete Foreman who is experienced in all aspects of concrete construction. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Concrete Foreman.

Concrete Foreman Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
  • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
  • Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed

Concrete Foreman Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and administer concrete work scopes, including those involving reinforced concrete, precast concrete elements, structural concrete, concrete forming, and concrete finishing
  • Maintain and update project procedures, material specifications, and quality control plans, and issue concrete work orders
  • Manage concrete work crews, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other specialists
  • Conduct pre-cast concrete pours and concrete formwork installation
  • Maintain and update spatial drawings, quantities, and material schedules
  • Design and construct concrete elements
  • Assist with the quality control of concrete work by reviewing and approving documents produced by the concrete crew
  • Assist with concrete testing and batching of concrete
  • Perform concrete testing
  • Conduct concrete finishing
  • Construct concrete cut-off forms, including forming and bracing
  • Conduct concrete finishing

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • 3+ years experience in concrete construction
  • Knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials and processes
  • Proven experience inspecting concrete for defects
  • Knowledge of concrete forming methods
  • Knowledge of concrete finishing methods
