The superintendent is typically the lead person on site, and supervises all trades, such as carpenters and electricians, to make sure they are all working together as a team.

Job Brief:

We're looking for a Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee the construction of a new building. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction workers, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.

Construction Superintendent Duties:

  • Oversee all construction-related activities, including field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Oversee all project scheduling and project budgets.
  • Monitor quality and correct any problems that arise.
  • Provide technical assistance to project managers and field employees.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.
  • Empower and maintain the appropriate level of internal and external communication.
  • Work with architects and engineers on project design.
  • Maintain contact with regulatory agencies, utility companies, and municipalities.
  • Owner of safety equipment such as fall protection, scaffolding, and PPE.

Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains a safe construction site, including keeping employees, subcontractors, and vendors on the job site, worshipping safety standards, and adhering to safety regulations.
  • Assures projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to owner standards.
  • Conducts daily safety meetings, safety inspections, and daily site walks.
  • Prepares daily reports for contract management, subcontractor payments, and project cost variances.
  • Maintains a database of all contract documents, including bid documents, change orders, pay applications, requisitions, and invoice.
  • Prepares weekly status reports on subcontractor performance, project costs, and contract accounting.

Requirements And Skills:
