Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Copier Technician to come and help us out with our copier issue. We have been having some problems with it and we need someone who knows what they’re doing to come and take a look at it.

Copier Technician Duties:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair photo imaging technologies
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
  • Train and supervise staff in the performance of all job functions
  • Monitor input/output devices, printers, scanners, and fax machines
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair communications systems
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on communications equipment
  • Perform diagnostic and remedial maintenance, cleaning, and repairs
  • Install and upgrade systems
  • Provide support for installed systems
  • Provide end user training
  • Perform routine maintenance on copier/scanner/fax equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on copier/scanner/fax machine
  • Perform minor maintenance on copier/scanner/fax machine
  • Maintain and complete copier/scanner/fax logs
  • Record and report incidents and malfunctions

Copier Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installations, repairs, and upgrades for copiers, printers, fax machines, scanners, and other office equipment
  • Read and interpret blue-prints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Contribute to project planning and execution
  • Assist in inventory control, including ordering and stocking supplies
  • Keep all service records, including documentation on jobs completed and parts used
  • Provide customer support

Requirements And Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years’ proven experience as a copier technician, including troubleshooting and repair of copiers
  • Knowledge of office machines, including printers, fax machines, and scanners
  • Knowledge of copier parts, including toners and drums
