Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Corporate Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate law, and will be able to provide advice and guidance to our clients on a variety of legal issues. If you are a motivated and experienced attorney, we want to hear from you!

Corporate Lawyer Duties:

  • Negotiate and draft contracts, leases, and other documents
  • Promote and enforce company policies

  • Advise management on relevant legal matters
  • Develop and oversee litigation and dispute resolution strategies
  • Manage outside counsel
  • Represent the company in court or before administrative agencies
  • Develop and submit reports to senior management

Corporate Lawyer Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate legal matters, including forming, maintaining, and dissolving entities and legal contracts, and resolving disputes
  • Perform initial screenings of documents to determine legal effect and significance
  • Evaluate and manage risk presented by new contracts
  • Perform or oversee negotiations and drafting of contracts
  • Attend meetings and depositions, such as arbitrations and trials
  • Prepare and review contracts, budgets, and reports
  • Manage legal staffing to achieve business goals
  • Advise management team on legal needs and prepare legal briefs
  • Represent the firm at law conferences and legal seminars
  • Develop new legal products
  • Serve as legal advisor to business units

  • Maintain awareness of new legal developments and changes in regulations

Requirements And Skills:

  • Successfully completed J.D. degree
  • 2+ years experience in corporate law
  • Experience with commercial lease transactions and lease renewal negotiations
  • Experience in commercial loan transactions and loan workouts
  • Knowledge of general business law and procedures
  • Knowledge of state and municipal
