CT Technologist Duties:

  • Perform medical imaging exams and interpret images to diagnose medical conditions
  • Use proper radiation protection procedures
  • Perform patient preparation
  • Monitor patient condition during exam
  • Maintain patient records and assist in consulting
  • Instruct and counsel patients on medical or treatment procedures
  • Communicate with patients, family members and referring physicians as needed

CT Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT examinations on patients
  • Perform diagnostic studies such as x-rays, ultrasounds, and MRI’s
  • Maintain current medical knowledge and actively educate self on new advances in diagnostic imaging
  • Perform necessary processing and image archiving as needed
  • Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining patient demographics, vital signs, and medical histories
  • Perform billing duties
  • Process and archive film
  • Assist in ensuring a safe environment for both the patient and the technician

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physician assistant or other related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a radiology technology or medical laboratory
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic medical exams and radiology terminology
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and meet patient or client expectations
  • Ability to provide leadership to clients and staff
