Job Brief:

We're looking for a Data Specialist who can help us organize and analyze our data. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large data sets, and be able to identify trends and patterns.

Data Specialist Duties:

  • Provide support and assistance to company management in all matters relating to business data analysis
  • Promote customer service by collecting, recording, analyzing, and reporting data
  • Establish new processes, analyze data, and recommend improvements
  • Develop and maintain databases
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Develop and correct/resolve errors
  • Cooperate with staff and company management in adhering to company policies and procedures

Data Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence and data mining applications for the organization, with the end goal of providing actionable data
  • Acquire, manage, and leverage data to drive decision making and improve efficiency
  • Analyze big data to identify patterns and trends, and translate them into recommendations and solutions
  • Research and implement new data sets and analytics tools
  • Work closely with the business to ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy
  • Develop web-based tools and user interfaces for internal access
  • Provide leadership to junior analysts and data engineers
  • Other duties as assigned
