Dental Receptionist Job Description

A dental receptionist is a lady who or boy that you will see when you visit a dentist.

She is usually the first person that you will meet when you visit the dentist.

She will then greet you, check you in, and take care of any patients that have arrived before you.

She will ask you questions about your medical history and any medications that you are currently taking.

She will then ask you if you need any x-rays done or if you will be sedated.

She will fill out the required paperwork and ask you to sign the consent form.

She will then take the paperwork to the front office and the x-ray technician.

She will then get you ready for your dental cleaning or procedure.

We're looking for a Dental Receptionist to join our team! We're a busy dental practice in need of a reliable, organized, and friendly person to help us keep things running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental office, be comfortable using computers, and be able to handle a high volume of customer traffic. If you have a positive attitude, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!

Dental Receptionist Duties:

  • Provide support services to company employees, patients, and visitors
  • Maintain and update medical records of clients
  • Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Record change orders
  • Other duties as assigned

Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Answer telephones in a timely manner, screen calls, and route callers appropriately
  • Provide customer service by greeting clients and visitors; answering or referring inquiries; providing information and assistance; scheduling appointments; maintaining client records; and notifying clients of upcoming office events
  • Complete paperwork accurately and legibly using a variety of methods
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • Ensure front office area is clean and presentable
  • It is preferred if you currently work 3.5-4 days per week
