We're looking for Deputy Sheriff to help us keep our community safe. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for patrolling our streets, investigating crimes, and keeping the peace. If you are interested in becoming a Deputy Sheriff, please contact our office.
Deputy Sheriff Duties:
- Ensure public safety by maintaining respect for the law, enforcing laws, and recognizing and acting on dangerous situations
- Manage emergency response times by organizing and directing emergency response teams and activities
- Maintain community relations and cooperation with local, state, and federal authorities
- Investigate, arrest, process, and detain offenders
- Monitor, supervise, and discipline employees
- Maintain inventory and control of all law enforcement equipment
- Oversee daily operations of jails, detention facilities, and work release centers
- Ensure jails and detention facilities are kept clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Approve and inspect all incoming prisoners
- Maintain confidentiality of prisoners
- Protect the public by conducting investigations
- Work with other members of the law enforcement team to ensure public safety
Deputy Sheriff Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, statutes, regulations, and ordinances, and effectively communicate this information to clients and other employees
- Perform administrative duties for Sheriff and other deputies, including scheduling, filing, and maintaining information
- Serve as on call deputy during emergencies and crises in a leadership role
