Dietary Aide Job Description

A dietary aide is an individual who provides one-on-one or group instruction or supervision to a client with a dietary restriction, such as food allergies, food intolerances, or food aversions.

Dietary aides work with clients on meal planning, meal planning preparation, grocery shopping, and cooking.

They instruct clients on appropriate dietary behaviors based on food restrictions or food allergies.

Job Brief:

We're looking for a Dietary Aide to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a kitchen, be able to lift 50+ pounds, and be able to work a flexible schedule.

Dietary Aide Duties:

  • Prepare and serve meals to the resident.
  • Assist in maintaining sanitary and orderly environment.
  • Maintain proper food storage conditions according to the company’s standards.
  • Assist in maintaining order in the dining rooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Keep all food storage areas clean and food free of any contamination.
  • Clean and dispose of all food scraps, napkins, garbage, and utensils.
  • Assist in serving food and beverages to residents.
  • Clean and maintain all food service equipment, utensils, and utensils.
  • Maintain proper food storage conditions according to the company’s standards.
  • Keep all food storage areas clean and food free of any contamination.
  • Clean and dispose of all food scraps, napkins, garbage, and utensils.
  • Assist in serving food and beverages to residents.
  • Clean and maintain all food service equipment, utensils, and utensils.

Dietary Aide Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a diet record for patients, follow diet menu, and prepare and serve meals and snacks.
  • Assist patients as needed in eating, drinking, and toileting.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in housekeeping duties.
  • Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and stocked.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Perform related work as required.
