A disc jockey (DJ) performs at events that involve music.

This can include parties, concerts, weddings, and other events.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Disc Jockey to come and work with us. We have a lot of events coming up and we need someone who can help us make them all special. If you have the skills and the experience, then we want you!

Disc Jockey Duties:

  • Work with various departments to identify their needs
  • Obtain a list of potential business contacts from the client’s company
  • Provide consultation on event design, entertainment, and technical aspects
  • Create a plan for event management including a budget
  • Maintain active communication with clients, staff, and vendors
  • Meet said deadlines
  • Promote the company’s products and services
  • Suggest new products and services
  • Manage equipment and inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Disc Jockey Responsibilities:

  • Perform 2-3 weddings per weekend, requiring approximately 12-15hr days of work
  • Assist with consultations, pre-wedding organization, and client coordination
  • Provide promotional materials, including business cards, flyers, and coupons
  • Promote DJ services and events through social media
  • Maintain and update website
  • Perform pre- and post-event analyses
  • Maintain and update client records
  • Communicate with clients through phone, email, and in person
  • Attend charity events, provide music, and bring attention to DJing
  • Plan and execute promotional events
  • Perform general office duties including bookkeeping and payroll

Requirements And Skills:

  • Proven past success as Disc Jockey
  • Knowledge of sound equipment
  • Highly motivated, organized, and able to multitask with little supervision
  • High proficiency in time management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be available to travel
