Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Document Controller to manage all of our company’s important documents. You will be responsible for organizing, filing, and keeping track of our documents, as well as making sure that they are accessible to all of our employees. This is a critical role in our company, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and has excellent organizational skills.

Document Controller Duties:

  • Manage and oversee paperwork associated with the company’s procurement, sales, and accounting departments
  • Promote the company’s compliance with all government regulations
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with vendors
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the company’s sales and accounting departments
  • Assist in ensuring the company’s compliance with all government requirements
  • Promote the efficient processing of financial transactions
  • Insure the safekeeping, security, and confidentiality of company records and information
  • Assist in identifying ways to improve business operations

Document Controller Responsibilities:

  • Gather and organize project documents, including those in electronic formats
  • Develop and update documents as necessary to meet changing customer requirements
  • Perform daily searches of electronic files to locate requested information
  • Prepare and maintain electronic versions of documents and files
  • Analyze project documents and files in order to simplify and standardize business processes
  • Develop and manage lists of customer reference contacts
  • Interact with suppliers, vendors, and other project stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years’ proven experience in document control and accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and accounting software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once
