Early Childhood Educator Duties:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and objectives for preschool and kindergarten levels
  • Provide individualized attention for each child
  • Manage and oversee all students
  • Evaluate students’ progress and development
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assist parents with child’s progress

Early Childhood Educator Responsibilities:

  • Provide developmentally appropriate care, education, and therapeutic services to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, and collaborate with other staff to plan and implement appropriate therapeutic activities, including behavior management and play activities
  • Oversee physical and behavioral health issues while implementing behavior plans
  • Respond to and resolve parent, teacher, and administrator concerns
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing classrooms and play area
  • Assist with planning and implementing field trips
  • Answer phones and greet children and parents
  • Assist with preparing for and participating in meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
  • Previous experience teaching 3-5 year olds
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to lesson plan and manage classroom activities
  • Ability to build relationships with children, parents, and fellow
