ED Tech Job Description

Educational Technology is technology used to assist instruction, to facilitate learning, and to manage learning processes.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for ED Tech to help us improve our online presence and better engage with our students.

ED Tech Duties:

  • Supports the ED and patients by organizing and collecting medical records and data
  • Complete tasks associated with electronic medical records (EMR), updating patient records, and obtaining patient authorizations
  • Maintain patient records and charts for privacy, security, and compliance
  • Assist ED staff in managing emergency care
  • Help with referrals and requests for patients
  • Prepare reports for the ED and physicians and practice management
  • Other duties as assigned

ED Tech Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with patients, families, and caregivers, developing, modifying, and carrying out treatment plans and objectives, including oversight of therapies and equipment
  • Coordinate development and implementation of appropriate educational materials for patients, families, and caregivers
  • Monitor and supervise daily patient activities within the facility, including coordination of admissions and discharges
  • Design and implement discharge and referral processes
  • Perform necessary facility housekeeping and preventative maintenance
  • Record patient service data, and perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years’ related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of ED practices
  • Ability to complete inventory, updates, and other administrative tasks
