Electrical Estimator Job Description

An electrical estimator is a person who evaluates and estimates the cost of electrical work.

They get to see a variety of projects, including small and large, commercial and residential, and interior and exterior.

Electrical estimators typically work for a company, although smaller businesses may hire them as consultants.

An electrical estimator evaluates construction project costs prior to project selection.

They assess the complexity of each project, determining the cost of labor and material.

Electrical estimators compile data, such as labor rates, material prices, and overhead, to estimate the project cost.

They then present this information to the project manager or owner for final selection.
