Endodontist Job Description

Endodontists specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp and its supporting structures.

Endodontists treat pulp-related diseases and injuries, such as infections, injuries, or reactions to medications.

Endodontists can also treat and save teeth with injuries or infections that cannot be treated by a general dentist.

Endodontists use local anesthesia to numb the pulp of the tooth, and then use highly specialized tools and techniques to remove the decayed material.

After the material has been removed, the endodontist seals the tooth with a special filling or crown to protect it from further infection or damage.
