A esthetician is a person who specializes in skin care.

While a person’s general skin type can be a factor in determining the treatment they will receive, an esthetician is trained in skin analysis, cleansing, exfoliating, massage, and application of chemical and enzyme treatments.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Esthetician to work in our spa. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience and be able to provide a variety of services such as facials, massages, and waxing.

Esthetician Duties:

  • Perform spa treatments including manicures, pedicures, facials, body treatments, waxing, makeup, and hair styling.
  • Provide clients with advice on how to take care of their skin and body
  • Prepare and administer treatments, as prescribed by a licensed medical professional.
  • Provide information to guests about specialty services and products.
  • Provide follow-up customer service as needed.
  • May perform administrative duties such as maintaining retail products, filing, and answering the telephone.

Esthetician Responsibilities:

  • Provide facial treatments, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and nail services to guests
  • Perform skin care services, including cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, using skin-conditioning treatments and skin care products to treat specific skin conditions
  • Provide treatment recommendations based on guests’ individual needs or requests
  • Attend to guest concerns regarding treatments and services
  • Provide telephone and in-person customer service
  • Assist with operating cosmetic counters by stocking and maintaining display items, answering questions, and completing transactions
  • Assist with customer service needs
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed

Requirements And Skills:

  • Licensed esthetician
  • 2+ years’ proven experience in a professional esthetician setting
  • Proven knowledge of skin physiology, anatomy, and treatments
  • Ability to design and create 2-3 treatment plans for each client
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
