The host provides all the services necessary for the event to take place, such as insurance coverage, food, entertainment, security, and venue.

Event hosts can be private individuals, such as homeowners, or businesses, such as hotels or convention centers.

Event hosts are usually paid a fixed rate for the event.

For example, a convention host may charge a fee of $15,000 to $20,000 for use of the facility and insurance for a one-day event.
