An Event Specialist is a specialized worker who is employed by an event-planning company.

A Event Specialist is generally in charge of helping their clients select venues for their event, purchasing supplies, and arranging the services required such as catering, decorations, musicians and entertainment.

An Event Specialist will be involved in planning the schedule of the event, making sure that every event detail is covered.

The Event Specialist may be responsible for contacting a variety of vendors, caterers, and decorators.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for Event Specialist to help us out with a variety of tasks related to event planning and execution. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in event planning and wants to get some experience working with a professional event planning company. The position is part-time and pay is based on experience.

Event Specialist Duties:

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences by meeting all customer’s needs
  • Provide support and guidance to all customers by ensuring all questions and concerns are addressed
  • Develop and maintain lasting customer relationship by anticipating and meeting customer needs
  • Leverage and cultivate existing customer relationships by maintaining current contact with clients
  • Develop new customer relationships by actively networking, meeting, and greeting potential customers
  • Provide event assistance to clients by implementing creative ideas while providing the highest level of customer service
  • Maintain effective communications with other team members, management, and customers

Event Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee all details of an event including logistics, food and beverage, entertainment and decor
  • Identify and procure all food and beverage equipment needed including staff, tables, linens, and glassware
  • Manage the preparation of all food and beverage offerings
  • Coordinate all security, parking, and entertainment plans
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of services

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years’ proven experience in event planning, coordination, and/or management
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
