Finance Assistant Duties:

  • Receive and record all vendor invoices, paying all invoices weekly
  • Process all credit card statements in QuickBooks and send out all invoices
  • Process all payments made in QuickBooks, pay all vendors bi-weekly
  • Process all deposit requests, pay all vendors monthly
  • Process all monthly expenses, pay all vendors monthly
  • Create a quarterly budget, track monthly expenses against budget
  • Process all accounts receivable, pay all vendors monthly
  • Process all accounts payable, pay all vendors monthly
  • Process all monthly payroll, pay all vendors monthly
  • Track all payments, ensure all funds are received and spent appropriately
  • Manage all petty cash, pay all vendors monthly
  • Receive and record all deposits, submit cheques
  • Coordination of monthly bank reconciliations, send all to accountant

Finance Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the company’s accounting practices and procedures
  • Assist the general manager with preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operating reports, budgets, and financial statements
  • Successfully manage accounts receivable and payable, banking and cash management, and payroll
  • Conduct financial research, analyze data, and prepare special projects
  • Perform month-end closing activities, assist with the annual budgeting process, and prepare and process payroll
  • Identify and resolve financial and operational issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial-related information
