We’re looking for a Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers and a creative eye for design. Floral Designer Duties:

  • Create flower arrangements for corporate and private residences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and florists
  • Design floral arrangements based on customer requests and budgetary considerations
  • Work collaboratively with press relations department, marketing, and sales departments
  • Comfortable meeting with customer for consultation and to discuss design
  • Working knowledge of floral terms, materials, and techniques

Floral Designer Responsibilities:

  • Assist with conducting client and vendor interviews, including gathering basic information on desired products, budget, and scheduling needs
  • Assist with setting floral displays by decorating and arranging centerpieces, cakes, and ceremony arches
  • Maintain product inventory and order supplies, and rotate stock regularly to prevent spoilage
  • Assist with preparing floral containers for delivery by cleaning, arranging, and sealing flowers
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art and design
  • 3+ years’ proven experience, preferably in the floral industry
  • Excellent working knowledge of plant identification, arrangements, color theory, and design principles
  • Knowledge of industry standards, trends, and techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of floral elements and techniques
