Food and beverage managers plan and coordinate the restaurant or bar’s food and beverage operations, and oversee food preparation, service, and stock management.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Manager who can help us keep our food and beverage operation running smoothly. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operation, including menu planning, ordering and stocking supplies, overseeing food preparation and service, and ensuring that our guests have a positive dining experience. Food and Beverage Manager Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving and sustaining the financial objectives of a food and beverage operation
  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving and sustaining a high guest satisfaction rating
  • Maintain relationships with key staff (chefs, managers, etc) to ensure the highest standard of quality is maintained
  • Develop marketing strategies to maximize profitability
  • Ensure that operations meet legal, regulatory, and insurance requirements

Food and Beverage Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership for the restaurant operation and staff, including maintaining and enforcing policies, procedures, standards, and codes
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and granting raises, promotions, and terminations
  • Maintain a working environment that protects, respects, and rewards all team members
  • Make hiring recommendations based on restaurant needs
  • Develop an employee development program based on training needs, career goals, and employee feedback
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant, including checking inventories, ordering supplies, ordering food and supplies, and supervising cleaning staff
  • Lead and motivate the restaurant team in reaching profitability, market share, and business plan objectives
