General Laborer Duties:

  • Carry out all necessary duties related to assisting with housekeeping, building maintenance, and other general labor assignments
  • Perform general cleaning of buildings, including offices and restrooms, and public areas
  • Perform all custodial duties, such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing floors
  • Clean, polish, and wax all furniture
  • Provide trash removal and disposal
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, including toilet paper and soap
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and other supplies
  • Perform minor painting, carpentry, and plumbing work
  • Assist with moving and cleaning equipment
  • Ensure that building is secure, following established procedures
  • Clean and stock all refrigerators and freezers
  • Collect office supplies and janitorial supplies
  • Collect and sort trash
  • Prepare and submit timesheets, payroll, and reports

General Laborer Responsibilities:

  • Clean up and move debris from interior and exterior locations; assist during painting; and perform general yard work, such as raking leaves, mowing grass, and trimming bushes
  • Measure and record quantities of materials before, during, and after construction process
  • Provide support during bad weather, including snow removal and ice management
  • Assist with preparing, maintaining, and stocking job sites
  • Perform other duties as requested
