Grill cook is a person who works at a grill, barbecue or smoker.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Grill Cook to come work at our restaurant. You would be responsible for cooking food on the grill and making sure that it is cooked properly. If you are interested in this position, please contact us.

Grill Cook Duties:

  • Singe, marbling, and smoke an entire rack of beef and chicken and load it into sixteen oz. and 32 oz. containers
  • Singe, marbling, and flame-cook a pork belly and load it into 16 oz. containers
  • Refine beef, chicken and pork by individual cuts
  • Clean work area and grill between shifts
  • Work off-track efficiently, providing support to other cooks as needed
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure meat is grilled to proper temperatures
  • Keep copies of work orders and inventory sheets

Grill Cook Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, grill, and plate a variety of menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, chicken, fish, salads, and desserts
  • Grill and maintain equipment, such as grills and fryers
  • Insure food meets quality standards and is garnished and served in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
  • Be knowledgeable about menu, food cost, ingredient cost, and labor cost, and monthly sales goals

Requirements And Skills:

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of cooking experience
