Grip Duties:

  • Perform duties related to moving, lifting, loading, and unloading video and film equipment
  • Assisting in preparation for filming and taping
  • Performing basic maintenance on equipment and assisting with repairs
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Grip Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and organization, including safety, security, and booking
  • Cleaning and upkeep of equipment
  • Oversee and manage assistant grips
  • Manage wardrobe department, including cleaning and working with wardrobe supervisors
  • Conduct and document safety inspections
  • Perform other work as directed

Requirements And Skills:

  • Experience with a wide variety of camera supports
  • Knowledge of cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
  • Proven experience using rigging hardware (Stryker, JUP)
  • Knowledge of safety practices
