We're looking for a Hospice Nurse to provide compassionate care to patients and their families who are facing a terminal illness. The Hospice Nurse will work with the patient's physician to develop a plan of care that meets the patient's individual needs and preferences. The Hospice Nurse will also provide support to the patient's family and caregiver
Hospice Nurse Duties:
- Provide support and care to patients at the end of life
- Perform basic nursing duties such as changing linens, monitoring vital signs, and recording information
- Deliver education to patients and family members about symptom management, pain management, comfort measures, and end-of-life care
- Demonstrate compassion and understanding when interacting with patients, family members, and staff members
- Arrange for hospice care patients to be cared for outside their homes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Hospice Nurse Responsibilities:
- Nursing degree required
- Current State Registered Nurse license
- Experience working with hospice patients
- Experience with computers
