HRIS Analyst Job Description

HRIS analyst is a person who uses computer systems to help organizations manage their human resources.

HRIS analysts are usually former human resources managers who learned how to build software to help them manage their companies’ people.

They can build reports that help companies figure out how many employees are on staff, how many positions need to be filled, how much a particular position pays, and how much a particular employee contributes to the bottom line.

Job Brief:

We're looking for an HRIS Analyst to come on board and help us streamline our HR processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with an HRIS system and be able to hit the ground running. HRIS Analyst Duties:

  • Perform human resource functions, including recruitment, hiring, training, compensation, benefits, and compliance, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Research, analyze, and respond to employee inquiries
  • Perform job analysis
  • Develop and distribute training materials
  • Produce reports as required
  • Create operational procedures
  • Develop metrics to measure the success of the program's initiative
  • Lead human resources strategy

HRIS Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with HR team to maintain and update employee records including data, benefits, and compensation
  • Manage all HR data and systems including Kronos and Taleo
  • Manage onboarding and termination processes with support of HR team
  • Assist with monthly newsletters
  • Configure and troubleshoot HR systems

  • 2+ years dedicated experience as a HRIS Analyst
  • Strong general and administrative skills
  • Knowledge of workforce management, talent management, and payroll systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
