  • Develop and update policy and training materials on human rights issues
  • Develop and maintain databases
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the HR database
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and presentation of all HR training sessions
  • Oversee HR administrative processes
  • Focus on company’s HRIS system

Human Rights Advocate Responsibilities:

  • Review and process work permits ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Train new employees
  • Train and certify subcontractors
  • Conduct periodic site inspections, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards
  • Perform background research to ensure compliance of foreign hires with local labor laws and policies
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and with company policies and procedures
  • Provide support, education, and consultative services to employees and vendors on general human resources matters

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human rights, international human rights, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience advocating on behalf of human rights
  • Knowledge of cultural, social, and linguistic background of target communities
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills
