An incident manager works with an incident commander and emergency managers to systematically respond to a crisis.

Incident managers are responsible for monitoring, assessing, and reporting the status of an incident.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Incident Manager who is passionate about their work and takes pride in their team’s success. The Incident Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating the response to incidents, as well as providing support and guidance to team members. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to work well under pressure.

Incident Manager Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a proactive action plan for responding to incidents and emergencies, and actively protect people and property
  • Work with emergency response personnel to establish and manage a plan of action
  • Communicate with staff, clients, contractors, and vendors when incidents occur
  • Place individuals on emergency status to minimize disruption of organizational activities
  • Assist with contingencies, such as training and drills
  • Decide how to respond to internal and external communications
  • Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan

Incident Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assist first responders in conducting inspections of property damage according to federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assist in filing insurance claims
  • Providing on-call support during out-of-the-ordinary events

  • 2+ years’ proven experience managing multiple incidents and crisis management
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
