Independent Consultant Job Description

An independent consultant is a person who provides their services directly to clients.

These consultants work outside the company for which they work, and are typically self-employed.

Consultants are not employees, but work for individuals, businesses, or organizations.

When a prospective client hires a consultant, the contract for the consultant’s role is created between the consultant and client.

The client chooses the consultant, and pays the consultant directly for the tasks to be performed by the consultant.
